Terms of use

Last updated: 6 October 2026

Document being drafted

The passages marked “To be completed” depend on the publisher of the service. They will be filled in before launch.

These terms govern the use of the Autopartage service. By creating an account, you accept them.

The service

Autopartage is a shared logbook for communities of neighbours who lend each other their own cars. It lets you book a car, log trips, calculate the per-kilometre indemnity, follow each household’s balance and record settlement payments.

Loans are agreed directly between members. Autopartage is not a party to them and provides no car.

Autopartage records the payments that members make between themselves. The service does not collect money and does not transfer any.

Publisher

To be completed: identity of the publisher of the service

Account

Each person has their own account, protected by a password that they keep confidential. The information you enter must be accurate.

Communities and roles

The person who creates a community becomes its administrator. Administrators invite households and define the per-kilometre rates and the settings of the community. A community can only be joined by invitation.

Several people can belong to the same household. They then share a single balance.

Community rules

Each community sets its own rules, for example in a charter: rates, insurance, what to do in case of damage, a fine or a breakdown. These rules are a matter for the community and its members.

Your commitments

  • Log your trips accurately: the distance driven and the fuel paid for.
  • Use the handover details (address, keys, code, phone number) only for the borrowing concerned.
  • Respect the other members and the rules of your community.

Balances and settlement

The balances shown result from the trips and payments recorded by members. Payments are made between members, outside the service.
